Privacy Policy

The Universal Vault is a one-person archive. This page says what the site collects.

A normal visit is logged by the server and by Google Analytics: IP address, browser, device, pages opened, and the site that sent you. That is used to keep the site up and to see what gets read. It is not sold.

Cookies are used to run WordPress and to measure visits. You can block them in your browser. Parts of the site may work worse if you do.

If you write in or submit a photo, video, or document, the name, email, message, and files are kept so the note can be answered, the submission reviewed, or the item published if you allowed it. Your email is not posted unless you ask for a credit that includes it. Form mail is kept as long as the correspondence or the published item needs it.

Posts may embed YouTube, Vimeo, or social posts. Those players can set their own cookies once you press play, under their own rules.

Links to other sites are just links. Their privacy rules are theirs.

You can ask what this site holds on you, or ask for a correction, through the Contact page. What can be done depends on where you live.

The Vault is not aimed at children under 13 and doesn’t ask them for personal information.

No form on the internet is fully secure. Don’t send anything you wouldn’t want stored in an email archive.

If advertising or affiliate links are added, this page will say so. The date at the top is the current version.

Questions go through the Contact page.
